📍 Introduction

🧵 Commentary
The names keep flowing — generations, families, lines. At first, it seems like a quiet repetition of what had already begun before. But then one person steps forward, as if the narrative pauses for a moment: Jabez.
His name is connected with pain, and yet he chooses not to remain trapped in that meaning. Instead, he turns to God. His prayer is simple, yet powerful. No grand ritual, no long words — just an honest cry for blessing, protection, and divine guidance.
And God hears him.
This moment breaks the apparent uniformity of the genealogies. It is as if we are being shown: behind every name is a life, a struggle, a decision. Some remain unnoticed, others shine briefly — but God knows them all.
The chapter continues through various lines and territories. It also shows movement, change, people taking new places or facing challenges. History is not static — it is alive.
And in the middle of it all stands this one truth: a person who turns to God can change their story.

📘 Blog 3: 📦 The Ark and the Holiness of God
Good intentions do not replace obedience
📍 Introduction
A moment of great joy suddenly turns into a moment of fear.
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯◆⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
🧵 Commentary
The ark was to be brought to Jerusalem. Joy, music, excitement — everything was there.
But something essential was missing: obedience.
The ark was placed on a cart — as the Philistines had done. But Israel knew better.
When the oxen stumbled, Uzzah intervened — instinctively, humanly understandable. But he touched what was holy. And he died.
Silence. Shock.
David suddenly understood: God is not only near — He is holy.
Not every well-intentioned action is right. God’s ways are clear — and must be taken seriously.
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯◆⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
🧺 Summary
Uzzah dies because God’s clear instructions were ignored.

🔦 Message for us today
God is not only looking for enthusiasm, but for reverence and obedience.
