π Introduction
1 Chronicles chapter 15 shows a second attempt to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalemβthis time in the right way. It is a chapter full of joy, but also of insight: Godβs presence requires both devotion and obedience.

𧡠Commentary
After the painful experience from the previous chapter, David does not simply continue as before. He pauses, reflects, and realizes: the mistake was not in the desire, but in the approach.
This time he prepares everything carefully. The Levites are called to carry the Ark as God had instructed. It is as if David learns that enthusiasm alone is not enoughβit needs a foundation in Godβs order.
The atmosphere changes. Instead of uncertainty, there is now deep reverence in the airβand at the same time great joy. The Ark is carried step by step, accompanied by music, singing, and instruments.
Praise fills the streets. Singers, musicians, and servants come together. It is not a quiet moment, but a vibrant expression of joy over Godβs presence.
David himself dances before Godβfree, without pride, without restraint. It is a picture of true devotion. He is king, but in that moment he is simply a human being before God.
But not everyone understands this. Michal, his wife, sees him and despises him for it. While David humbles himself, she sees only a loss of dignity. Here two perspectives collide: outward dignity and inner heart.
Finally, the Ark reaches its place. God is in the midst of His peopleβand this time it happens rightly: with order, reverence, and joy.

𧡠Commentary
David shows grace: Mephibosheth is received. A sign of faithfulness and heart.
Then come warsβgreat and dangerous alliances against Israel.
But God grants victoryβagain and again. Israel becomes strong, feared, and honored.
David knows:
Not chariots, not horsesβbut God.
And yet the chapter ends with a quiet shadow:
At the height of his success, David stands at the edge of his greatest fall.
Not defeat from outsideβbut danger from within.
