📍 Introduction

After intense preparation, the construction of the temple finally begins in 2 Chronicles chapter 3. What was previously planned and prepared now becomes visible. It is the moment when vision becomes reality — a place intended for God’s presence.

🧵 Commentary

The construction begins at a special place: Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. It is not a random location, but a place with history — a place of encounter between God and humanity.

From the very beginning it becomes clear: God’s work does not stand isolated, but is connected to what has happened before.

The description of the temple is rich in detail. Measurements, materials, decorations — everything is designed with care. Gold, precious stones, and artistic craftsmanship show that this place is meant to be something special.

But it is not only about outward beauty. The temple is a symbol of God’s presence among His people. Every space has meaning, every part is intentionally designed.

Especially impressive is the Most Holy Place — the innermost room. It is where God’s presence is especially represented. It is a place of reverence, silence, and closeness.

The cherubim, the large angelic figures, also emphasize the holiness of this space. They are not merely decoration, but a sign of God’s glory and protection.

The chapter almost reads like an architectural description — yet behind it lies something deeper: a place is being prepared where heaven and earth meet.

📘 Blog 3: 🙏 The Request for Wisdom

💡 A prayer that changes everything

📍 Introduction

At the beginning of his reign, Solomon consciously seeks God’s presence — and makes a decisive request.

⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

🧵 Commentary

In Gibeon, Solomon appears before God — not with demands, but with a sincere heart. He recognizes his own limitations and describes himself as inexperienced. This self-awareness becomes the key to his greatness.

Instead of asking for wealth or power, he asks for an “obedient heart.” He wants to understand what is right and wrong in order to lead the people justly. This request reveals his priorities: it is not about himself, but about his responsibility before God.

God not only answers his request, but blesses him beyond it. Wisdom is given to him — and in addition, wealth and honor. Yet all of this is tied to one condition: faithfulness to God’s ways.

⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

🧺 Summary

Solomon asks for wisdom instead of power — and receives from God far more than he expected.

⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

🔦 Message for Today

The most important request in life is not success, but the ability to act rightly.
