πŸ‘‘ The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End

πŸ‘ April 24 – The Voice of the Shepherd: Guidance in the End Times

Monthly Theme: The Signs of the Times – Watching and Praying
Yearly Theme 2026: β€œThe King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End”

πŸ“– Central Bible Text of the Day

β€œMy sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
β€” John 10:27

πŸŒ… Devotional Thought of the Day

In a time when many voices compete for attention,
when opinions contradict each other and paths diverge,
a quiet yet crucial question arises:

Whose voice am I listening to?

Jesus describes Himself as the Good Shepherd.
Not as a distant observer,
but as One who speaks, leads, and knows.

And He says:
β€œMy sheep hear My voice.”

This means:
Guidance does not begin externally,
but in listening.

✨ A Voice That Knows

The Shepherd’s voice is not a strange voice.
It is familiar.

It does not pressure,
it does not confuse,
it does not contradict His Word.

It leads with clarity and peace.

β€œA stranger they will not follow.”
β€” John 10:5

The more we know this voice,
the easier it becomes to recognize
what does not come from it.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œOnly those who know the voice of Christ will not be deceived by false voices.”
(The Desire of Ages, p. 480)

🌿 Listening Requires Closeness

A voice is recognized only
when it is heard often.

A life without time with God
makes listening difficult.

But a heart that regularly becomes still
learns to discern.

In the Word of God,
in prayer,
in quiet reflection,
the Shepherd speaks.

πŸ•ŠοΈ Guidance in Daily Life

God’s voice is not revealed only in major decisions.
It is often gentle,
in everyday life,
within the heart.

A thought that brings peace.
A prompting toward love.
A warning in the heart.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œThe Holy Spirit speaks to the heart and gently leads those who are willing to listen.”
(Maranatha, p. 192)

πŸŒ„ Trust Instead of Confusion

The end times are not only a time of signs,
but also a time of decisions.

Yet we do not have to live without direction.

The Shepherd goes ahead.
He knows the way.
And He loses none of His sheep.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You that You speak to me.

In a world full of voices,
I want to recognize Your voice.

Teach me to be still
and to listen to You.

Protect me from confusion
and guide me in Your way.

Amen.
