πŸ‘‘ The King is coming soon – Hope beyond the end

πŸ“… March 8 – The Little Horn: Faithfulness in Times of Deception

Monthly Theme: Daniel: The God Who Guides History – Faithfulness in the Fire of Testing
Yearly Theme 2026: β€œSoon the King Is Coming – Hope Beyond the End”

πŸ“– Central Bible Text of the Day

β€œHe will speak against the Most High
and oppress the saints of the Most High
and try to change the set times and the law.”

β€” Daniel 7:25

πŸŒ… Devotional for the Day

In Daniel 7, the prophet sees not only successive world empires.
He also sees a power that is different from the previous ones β€”
a β€œlittle horn” that rises against God.

This power acts not only politically,
but also religiously.
It attempts to change truth
and replace God’s authority with human authority.

This is the heart of the great controversy:
Who determines truth?
God β€” or man?

✨ Deception Instead of Open Rebellion

The little horn does not appear as an open enemy of God.
It operates from within the sphere of faith.
That is precisely where the danger lies.

β€œFor false Christs and false prophets will arise …”
β€” Matthew 24:24

Deception is always a mixture of truth and error.
That is why God calls His people to vigilance.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œSatan does not always work through open hostility. His most dangerous attacks come through deception and the mingling of truth and error.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 522)

🌿 The Word of God as Protection

How can we remain steadfast in times of confusion?
Daniel shows: through faithfulness to the Word of God.

β€œYour word is truth.”
β€” John 17:17

Daniel himself remained faithful
because his loyalty was based not on tradition,
but on God’s revealed will.

The Bible is the secure anchor
when religious voices contradict one another.

πŸ•ŠοΈ Faithfulness Despite Pressure

Daniel’s vision also shows
that God’s people will face pressure.

But the end of the vision is full of hope:

β€œThe court was seated … and the kingdom was given to the saints.”
β€” Daniel 7:26–27

Deception has a limited time.
God’s truth remains forever.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œGod’s people will not triumph through human power, but through faithfulness to the truth.”
(Maranatha, p. 198)

πŸŒ„ A Call to Personal Decision

The prophetic symbols are not only historical information.
They ask each of us a question:

On what foundation does my faith stand?
On tradition? On feelings? Or on God’s Word?

Faithfulness begins in the heart β€”
in the daily decision to place Christ above everything.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear Father in heaven,
protect me from deception and confusion.

Give me a love for Your Word
and a clear understanding of the truth.

Strengthen my faith
so that I remain faithful even under pressure.

Teach me to trust You more than human voices.

Amen.

πŸ’ Thought for the Day

β€œIn times of deception, a personal connection with Christ is our greatest security.”
β€” Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy

πŸ’‘ Personal Application

1️⃣ Read Daniel 7:19–27.
What does this vision show you about the course of the great controversy?

2️⃣ Pray:
β€œLord, guide me through Your Word into all truth.”

3️⃣ Practice:
Today, read a passage of the Bible slowly and intentionally, and pray about it instead of just reading it quickly.

🌺 Closing Verse

β€œHere is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”
β€” Revelation 14:12
