𧡠Commentary
The names continue, but this time there is a special emphasis on the strength of the men. Again and again, it is highlighted how many βmighty warriorsβ or βvaliant menβ come from these tribes. It is as if a picture is forming: a people who are not only growing but are also ready to stand firm.
The tribe of Issachar is described as numerous and strongβmen who understand what to do and are ready to act. Benjamin also appears powerful, with a large number of experienced warriors.
But in the midst of these lists, a moment of sorrow appears. In the line of Ephraim, a loss occursβsons die, and pain enters the story. For a moment, the narrative pauses. It shows that behind all the strength, there is also vulnerability.
And yet, the line continues. Despite loss, despite painβlife does not stop. New generations arise, new hope grows. The tribe of Asher is finally described as blessed and strong, full of men ready for battle.
The chapter paints a picture of balance: strength and sorrow, growth and loss, preparation and trust. It shows a people who live, fight, sufferβand still move forward.

π¦ Message for Us Today
Strength does not mean the absence of pain, but continuing forward despite challenges. God works both in times of strength and in times of suffering.

𧡠Commentary
David lives in a palace. The ark stands in a tent.
This does not feel right to him. He wants to build a house for God.
Nathan initially agrees. But God says: no.
Not out of rejectionβbut out of perspective.
David has fought wars. His son will buildβa man of peace.
And then God gives David something greater:
David does not build a house for GodβGod builds a house for David. A promise. A future. A kingdom that continues.
