👑 The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End
📅 7 January – The Three Angels’ Messages
Monthly Theme: The Blessed Hope – Living in Expectation
Theme for 2026: “The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End”
📖 Central Bible Text of the Day
“Then I saw another angel flying in midheaven,
having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—
to every nation, tribe, language, and people.
And he said with a loud voice,
‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come;
and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.’”
— Revelation 14:6–7
🌅 Devotional Thought for the Day
The three angels’ messages are the heart of the Advent movement.
They are God’s final great invitation to humanity—
a message of love, truth, and decision.
Three angels symbolically fly “in midheaven”—
not to spread fear,
but to prepare the world for the coming of the King.
The first angel calls:
“Fear God and give Him glory … worship Him who made heaven and earth.”
— Revelation 14:7
In a time when many forget creation and ignore the Creator,
God calls us back to the worship of the Creator.
True worship is the opposite of self-worship.
It reminds us who God is—and who we are: creatures of His love.
Ellen G. White writes:
“These messages are the last warnings to be given to the world.
Those who accept them will be prepared for the coming of the Lord.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 436)
✨ The Everlasting Gospel – Grace in the Midst of Judgment
It is striking that the angel proclaims an “everlasting gospel.”
Even in the hour of judgment, God’s love stands at the center.
Grace is not abolished—it is revealed.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
— John 3:16
The gospel is everlasting because God’s character is everlasting.
He remains the same: just, merciful, patient.
Judgment does not separate the good from the evil by performance,
but reveals who has built on God’s grace.
Ellen White writes:
“The proclamation of the everlasting gospel and the call to worship the Creator
are God’s appeal of love to a lost world.
In the midst of judgment, the note of grace is heard.”
(Maranatha, p. 173)
🌿 The Decision of the Final Time
“Here is the patience of the saints;
here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”
— Revelation 14:12
The three angels’ messages call the world to a decision.
To whom does our loyalty belong—to God or to the system of this world?
Love for God expresses itself in obedience,
not from compulsion, but from relationship.
Ellen White explains:
“Obedience is the true test of love.
Faith that does not lead to an obedient life is dead.”
(Steps to Christ, p. 61)
This final message reminds us:
True religion does not consist in outward form,
but in a heart that honors God—in words, actions, and thoughts.
Those who endure in faith remain connected with Christ,
even when the world turns away.
🕊️ The Invitation of the Third Angel
“If anyone worships the beast and his image …
he shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God …”
— Revelation 14:9–10
The third message sounds like a warning—and it is.
But behind the warning stands love.
God warns because He wants to save.
He calls His children out of confusion, compromise, and spiritual complacency.
Ellen White wrote:
“God forces no one.
The warning against the beast and his image is an act of mercy,
so that all may choose life.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 438)
It is a serious yet gracious invitation:
Come out of Babylon—come home, into truth, into faithfulness to God.
Those who listen to this voice will be preserved.
🙏 Prayer
Eternal Father,
thank You for Your final message of love to the world.
Teach me to honor You as Creator and Redeemer.
Give me courage to stand for truth, even when the world is silent.
Let me be a living testimony of Your everlasting gospel—
with my words, my character, my life.
Prepare my heart for heaven’s call:
“Fear God and give Him glory.”
Amen.
