Where Godโ€™s miracles grow big โ€“ for little and big children

๐Ÿ” Judges 2 โ€“ When God Is Grieved but Does Not Give Up

๐ŸŒฆโค๏ธ How Israel forgets God โ€” and God still doesnโ€™t walk away

๐ŸŸ  Introduction

Yesterdayโ€™s story was only the beginning. Israel has now arrived in the new land โ€” a land full of houses, fields, trees, and peace. But today we see that a big problem begins.

A problem that doesnโ€™t come from enemiesโ€ฆ
but from their hearts.

Sometimes the hardest thing in life isnโ€™t a great battle, but not forgetting God.

๐Ÿ“– The Bible story

The people of Israel were now living in their new home.
They built houses ๐Ÿ , planted vineyards ๐Ÿ‡, played in the fields, and had enough bread to eat. Everything was good โ€” so good that something dangerous happened:

They thought they could do everything on their own.

God had helped them, led them, protected them, done miracles โ€” but now they began to worship new gods. Gods made of wood and stone. Gods that could not hear, not speak, not love ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ™‰.

And Godโ€™s heart became sad ๐Ÿ’ง.
He had carried them like children, but they ran away โ€” without thank you, without trust.

An angel of the Lord appeared and said:

โ€œI brought you out of Egypt, I protected you โ€”
why are you leaving me?โ€

The people were shocked ๐Ÿ˜ง.
They saw what they had done.
Many began to cry ๐Ÿ˜ข โ€” not because they were afraid, but because they knew:

We have hurt God.

And yetโ€ฆ listen carefully:

โœจ God did not give up on them.
Even when they forgot, HE did not forget.

When they were in trouble, God kept sending judges โ€” strong men and women who helped them ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ.
As long as a judge lived, Israel listened to God. But when the judge died, they started all over againโ€ฆ mistakes โ€” turning back โ€” rescue โ€” and mistakes again.

A circle without end.
Like a wheel that keeps turning ๐Ÿ”„.

But God stayed.
He waited.
He hoped.
He loved.

Like a father or mother waiting for a child to come home.

๐ŸŸฃ Summary

Israel forgets God.
They worship other gods, and that makes God sad.
But whenever they cry out, He sends someone to help.
Because God never leaves His people alone โ€” never.
