Then comes the moment of battle. Enemies arise, and the situation is serious. But instead of relying only on their own strength, they cry out to God. They trust Him in battle—and experience His help. Victory is given to them, not by their strength alone, but through their trust.

But the chapter does not remain at this high point. It also shows the other side. Over time, these tribes turn away from God. They follow other paths and lose their direction. And the consequence is severe: they are defeated and taken into exile.

Thus, the chapter stretches between two poles—trust and turning away, victory and loss. It powerfully shows how closely life is connected to one’s relationship with God.
