❤️📖 FROM THE HEART | March 20, 2026 | A prophetic identity in an age of uncertainty | Pastor Erton Köhler
In a world that is losing its voice, its anchors, and its way, we are witnessing one of the fastest declines in biblical identity ever recorded. More than a third of young adults in Western countries now identify as having no religious affiliation—the greatest departure from Scripture in modern history. We are living in a generation that celebrates the clarity of technology but embraces the confusion of truth. This is the age of uncertainty.
Yet even in the fog, there are people who remain steadfast—not because they are strong, but because their foundation is unshakable. Scripture reveals a prophetic movement that God has raised up precisely for times like these. In Revelation, we see a remnant described as those who “keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12). In an age of uncertainty, our identity is not cultural—it is biblical. It is not seasonal, but prophetic. Not accidental, but intentional.
Across all continents, we see this identity alive. In the Middle East, more than eighty experienced Adventist youth leaders were commissioned in Ras Al Khaimah and trained for ministry in regions where Christianity often faces restrictions. In Asia, the evangelistic initiative “Voice of Youth Victory” mobilized over fifty thousand young people in nine countries, resulting in more than nineteen thousand baptisms.
Identity is not found within ourselves. It is found by looking to the One who created us. When our identity is rooted in Christ and shaped by Scripture, we do not fade into confusion—we shine with purpose. Do not let the world define you. Let Scripture define you. Do not let culture shape you. Let Christ shape you. Do not be governed by shades of gray. Stand in the light.
