👣 Introduction
Sometimes you carry a dream in your heart that grows quieter over time. Not because it was wrong. But because life unfolded differently than you expected. Obstacles appeared. Doors stayed shut. Years passed. And eventually you place the dream in an inner drawer – not out of unbelief, but out of self-protection.
Joseph knew this feeling. His dreams had been clear: images of influence, responsibility, and divine guidance. But nothing in his life pointed in that direction. Everything went downhill.
Betrayed. Sold. Falsely accused. Bound. Forgotten.
What he didn’t know:
His dream was not dead – it was in God’s hands.
And God was preparing to awaken it at the right moment.

🎯 Devotion
“I have had a dream…”
With these words Pharaoh summons a young Hebrew prisoner – a man no one in the palace knew, a man who should have long been forgotten.
While Joseph served, interpreted, and waited in prison, something happened in the hidden places: God prepared the perfect moment to bring a long-buried dream back into the light.
Joseph no longer focused on his own dreams. How could he? The distance between the promise of his youth and his current reality was enormous. Nothing had been fulfilled. Everything had been delayed. And each new valley made the dreams smaller and quieter.
But God had not forgotten them.
When Pharaoh dreamed, someone suddenly remembered Joseph – a man who had promised two years earlier not to forget him, and yet did. But God used even this failure to bring Joseph into visibility at the exact right time.
Not too early. Not too late.
Joseph is summoned into the presence of the most powerful man in the known world – and before he even interprets Pharaoh’s dream, something crucial happens:
Joseph does not confirm his own ability but God’s presence.
He does not say, “I can do this.”
He says, “God will answer.”
The boy who once dreamed big was now a man who trusted God.
And that was exactly where God wanted him before leading him to the place He had prepared.
Joseph’s story shows:
What is forgotten by us is safely kept by God.
He can revive dreams in places we no longer expect and through people we never saw coming.
If God gave a dream, it may rest – but it does not die.

Let God decide when and how He fulfills it.
Practice faithfulness today – even when the future is unclear.
Be open to God fulfilling differently than you expected.

Lord,
you know the dreams I once carried –
those that stirred me,
and those I released out of pain or doubt.
I bring them to you anew.
If they are from you, awaken them again.
And if their time has not yet come, give me patience and trust.
Keep my heart open,
my hope alive,
and my faith steady.
Remind me that you never forget
what you yourself have planted in me.
