👑 The King is coming soon – Hope beyond the end
📅 March 15 – Faithful to the End: Daniel’s Personal Inheritance
Monthly Theme: Daniel: The God Who Guides History – Faithfulness in the Fire of Testing
Year Theme 2026: “Soon the King Is Coming – Hope Beyond the End”
📖 Central Bible Verse of the Day
“But go your way till the end;
for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”
— Daniel 12:13
🌅 Devotional of the Day
The book of Daniel does not end with a world empire,
not with a courtroom,
and not with a catastrophe.
It ends with a personal promise.
After all the visions, struggles, and revelations,
God says to Daniel:
“You will rest. You will arise.”
What a gentle and comforting promise.
Daniel had lived a long life in God’s service.
He had experienced trials,
fires and lions’ dens,
loneliness in exile and spiritual battles.
But in the end, what matters is not the difficulty of the journey—
but faithfulness to the finish.
✨ Rest and Resurrection
“You will rest”—
this is a biblical image of death as sleep.
“Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake.”
— Daniel 12:2
And then:
“You will arise.”
Daniel’s hope was not a monument,
but a resurrection.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“Daniel will stand among the redeemed to receive his place in the kingdom of God.”
(Prophets and Kings, p. 547)
This is also our hope.
🌿 A Personal Inheritance
God speaks directly to Daniel.
Not anonymously, not generally.
He knows His servants by name.
“Rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
— Luke 10:20
The inheritance is not only a place,
but a relationship.
Faithfulness in small things leads to eternal fellowship with God.
🕊️ Faithfulness in Everyday Life
Daniel was not given a spectacular final task.
He was simply told to “go your way until the end.”
This means:
Remain faithful in your part of the story.
We do not have to understand everything,
experience everything,
or finish everything.
Our task is faithfulness.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“God does not require extraordinary deeds, but consistent faithfulness.”
(Maranatha, p. 269)
🌄 Hope Beyond the End
Daniel’s story began in exile
and ended with the promise of an eternal home.
So our story will end as well—
not in the dust,
but in the inheritance of the redeemed.
The return of Jesus is not only a world-historical event.
It is the fulfillment of a personal promise.
🙏 Prayer
Dear Father in heaven,
thank You for the hope of resurrection and eternal life.
Help me remain faithful until the end,
even in small things.
When my path becomes difficult,
remind me of the inheritance You have prepared.
Write my name in Your book of life
and keep my heart in Your faithfulness.
Amen.
