The promise of Jesus’ Second Coming is often described in the Bible with a simple but powerful image: the King is coming. It is not merely an event, but a personal encounter. The One who suffered on the cross will return as King.
This truth connects the beginning and the end of our faith. The cross shows us the depth of His love, and the Second Coming shows us the completion of His plan. The two belong inseparably together.
Being ready for this encounter does not mean having done everything perfectly. It means standing in a living relationship with Christ. It is a life directed toward Him and trusting in Him.

The Second Coming is not an encounter with a stranger. It is the encounter with the One we have come to know by faith. This changes the perspective. It is not about uncertainty, but about expectation.

Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for the promise that the King is coming.
Help me to be ready for this encounter,
not out of fear, but out of love for You.
Lead me into a deeper relationship with You
and keep my heart directed toward You.
Let me live in Your hope
and follow You faithfully.
