🌅 Devotional of the Day
The hope of Jesus’ second coming is not only a look into the future, but also an invitation for life today. Whoever awaits Christ will also prepare for Him. This preparation does not happen through outward forms, but through a transformed life.
A sanctified life means consciously allowing God to shape us. It is the continuation of what began at the cross. Forgiveness opens the door, but sanctification shapes the life beyond it. It is not a burden, but a response to the grace we have received.
This transformation does not happen all at once. It is a journey on which God leads us step by step. It is not about perfection, but about direction. A heart that seeks God will be changed by Him.
✨ Sanctification as Preparation
Sanctification not only prepares us for eternity, but also gives meaning to the present. It brings our lives into harmony with God’s will and creates room for His presence.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“Sanctification is the preparation of the heart for fellowship with God.”

This preparation is not outwardly visible, but takes place within.
🌿 A Life Focused on God
A sanctified life means continually realigning ourselves with God. This is reflected in our thoughts, our decisions, and the way we treat others.
This focus requires attentiveness. It invites us to live intentionally and not simply be guided by everything happening around us.

🕊️ Ready for the Encounter
The second coming of Jesus is a personal encounter. Whoever lives with God today will not fear this meeting, but will look forward to it.
Readiness does not grow out of fear, but out of relationship. The closer we come to Christ, the greater our longing to see Him becomes.

Dear Heavenly Father,
shape my life according to Your will.
Help me to continually entrust myself to You
and to remain open to Your transforming work.
Prepare my heart for the encounter with You
and let me live close to You.
Lead me on Your path
and hold me firmly in Your grace.
