2026 yearly theme: βSoon the King Is Coming β Hope Beyond the Endβ
π Central Bible Text of the Day

β Daniel 7:9β10
π Devotional of the Day
When people hear the word βjudgment,β they often think of condemnation, fear, or punishment. Many associate it with uncertainty and the question of whether they will be able to stand. Yet the picture the Bible gives of the heavenly judgment is far greater and more beautiful than our human ideas.
In a vision, Daniel is given a glimpse into heaven. He sees not chaos, but order. He sees not an uncontrollable judge, but the eternal God on His throne. Everything happens under His perfect wisdom and justice. Nothing is overlooked, nothing is judged wrongly, and no one is treated unjustly.
This is precisely where comfort is found. Our lives are not in the hands of changing human opinions, but in the hands of a God who is perfectly just and at the same time infinitely merciful. Judgment means that God brings the truth to light. He sees not only our actions, but also our struggles, our motives, and our longing for Him.
For those who love Christ, the judgment is not a threat. Rather, it reveals that God fulfills His promises and stands up for His children. The Judge is the same One who gave His Son for our redemption. Therefore, we may face the judgment not with fear, but with trust.
β¨ Heaven Is Not Indifferent
Sometimes it seems as though injustice is winning. People suffer, truth is distorted, and evil often appears to remain unpunished. The heavenly judgment reminds us that God sees everything.
Nothing escapes His sight. Every tear, every temptation, every faithful decision is known to Him.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βIn the judgment it will be revealed that God knows every soul and judges every action justly.β
(The Great Controversy, p. 486)
This truth brings comfort. We do not serve a distant God, but a Father who watches attentively over His children.
πΏ A Judgment Full of Hope
The judgment is part of the good news because it shows that Godβs kingdom is founded on truth. It confirms that sin will not reign forever and that Godβs plan of salvation will reach its goal.
For the believer, the judgment does not mean uncertainty, but hope. Our security is not found in our perfection, but in Christ.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βWhoever has accepted Christ as his Advocate need not fear the judgment.β
(Maranatha, p. 341)
ποΈ Trust Instead of Fear
God does not invite us to live in fear. He invites us to trust Him. The judgment reminds us that our lives have meaning and that God will bring everything to a just conclusion.
When we look to Christ, we recognize that grace and justice do not contradict each other. Both meet in Him.
π Prayer
Dear Father in heaven,
thank You that Your judgment is just and true.
Thank You that I do not have to trust in my own righteousness, but in Jesus Christ.
Help me to live before You with an open heart and to seek Your guidance every day.
Give me peace and trust when I think about the judgment.
Let me know that my hope is securely founded in You.
Amen.

The heavenly judgment is not a threat to Godβs children, but a testimony to His justice and His faithfulness.
