πŸ“– Central Bible Text of the Day

β€œAnd worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
β€” Revelation 14:7

πŸŒ… Devotional of the Day

The message of the first angel leads us not only to judgment, but also to worship. After the angel proclaims that the hour of judgment has come, he calls people to worship the Creator. This is not a random addition. At the center of the great controversy there is always the question of worship: To whom does our heart belong? Whom do we trust? Who has first place in our life?

In Revelation 14, God is presented as the One who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water. In this way, the Bible reminds us of the beginning. Before humanity sinned, before suffering, death, and separation existed, God was the Creator. All life comes from Him. Everything that exists owes its being to His power, wisdom, and love.

In connection with the judgment, this truth takes on special meaning. The Judge is not just any power. He is the Creator Himself. He knows His creatures completely because He made them. He knows their value, their purpose, and their pain. Therefore His judgment is not foreign or arbitrary, but founded on the love of the One who created life and wants to restore life.

To worship the Creator means to acknowledge our dependence on Him. It means not making ourselves the measure of all things, but honoring God as the origin, Lord, and goal of our life.

✨ Worship in the Judgment

The heavenly judgment does not first call us to fear, but to worship. Whoever recognizes God as Creator also recognizes His authority. He has the right to judge because everything belongs to Him. But He does not judge as a distant ruler, but as the God who loves His creation.

Ellen G. White wrote:

β€œThe duty to worship God is based on the fact that He is the Creator and that all beings owe their existence to Him.”

(The Great Controversy, p. 436)

This truth makes worship more than a religious moment. It becomes the attitude of an entire life.

🌿 The Sabbath as a Reminder of the Creator

The message of Revelation 14 echoes the language of the fourth commandment. There it says that God made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. Therefore, the Sabbath is a special sign that God is our Creator.

It reminds us that we do not stand by our own achievements, but live by God’s grace. In a time when people often define themselves by work, success, or possessions, the Sabbath invites us to rest in God.

Ellen G. White wrote:

β€œThe Sabbath points to God as Creator and is a sign of His authority and His sanctifying power.”

(The Great Controversy, p. 437)

πŸ•ŠοΈ Worship as the Direction of Life

True worship does not happen only through words or songs. It is shown in whom we place our trust. It is shown in our decisions, priorities, and values.

Whoever worships the Creator recognizes: My life does not belong to me alone. I am created, loved, and redeemed. Therefore, my life may honor God.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear Father in heaven,

You are my Creator, my Redeemer, and my Lord.

Thank You that my life comes from Your hand and is secure in Your hand.

Help me to worship You not only with words, but with my whole life.

Teach me to acknowledge Your authority and to live in Your rest.

Direct my heart toward You and prepare me for Your coming.

Amen.
