β Psalm 7:8
π Devotional of the Day
The heavenly judgment is not an endless process of uncertainty. It has a purpose. God will reveal the truth, restrain evil, and finally bring everything to a just conclusion. That is why, for Godβs children, the judgment does not end in terror, but in hope.
In this world, we experience many things that remain incomplete. Some questions remain unanswered. Some wounds are not healed immediately. Some injustices seem never to be properly spoken of or corrected. But the Bible shows us that God forgets nothing. He sees what was hidden, and he will make everything right.
This hope is especially important when we live through situations we do not understand. People may judge wrongly, distort facts, or misunderstand motives. But God sees completely. His judgment will not be shaped by prejudice, error, or limitation. It will be perfectly just.
For the redeemed, this means that history does not end with chaos, pain, or injustice. It ends with Godβs righteous action. The judgment prepares the way for a world where truth, peace, and love will remain forever.
β¨ God Brings the Truth to Light
Many people carry the pain of having been misunderstood or treated unjustly. The judgment reminds us that God also sees what people overlook.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βEverything now hidden will be revealed, and Godβs dealings will be recognized as just.β
(The Great Controversy, p. 666)
This truth invites us to entrust our cause to God. We do not have to defend or explain everything ourselves. The Lord knows the truth.
πΏ Hope for the Oppressed
The judgment is good news for those who suffer injustice. It tells them: God is not indifferent. He sees. He hears. He will act.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βGod will not forget his faithful children; their cause is secure before him.β
(Maranatha, p. 321)
This does not mean that we receive every answer today. But it does mean that no tear is lost and no faithfulness goes unnoticed.
ποΈ Peace Through Trust
Those who believe that God will make everything right can let go. Not out of indifference, but out of trust. We may place our unresolved questions, our wounded feelings, and our concern for justice into Godβs hands.
The judgment reminds us that God not only judges, but also restores. His goal is not only to name injustice, but to create a new world in which righteousness dwells.
π Prayer
Dear Father in heaven,
thank you that you see everything and forget nothing.
Thank you that your judgment is just and that in the end you will make everything right.
Help me to trust you even when I do not understand everything today.
Teach me to place my worries, wounds, and unanswered questions into your hands.
Give me peace in the certainty that your truth and your grace will triumph.
Amen.
π Thought for the Day
Godβs judgment does not end in fear, but in the hope that he will make everything right.
π‘ Personal Application
- Read Psalm 7:7β11.
What do you learn there about Godβs righteous action? - Pray: βLord, I entrust to you everything I cannot clarify.β
- Practical step: Today, consciously hand over to God an unresolved situation in which you are trusting in his justice.
πΊ Closing Verse
βHe will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his truth.β
β Psalm 96:13
