๐Ÿ‘‘ The King is coming soon โ€“ Hope beyond the end

๐Ÿ“… March 13 โ€“ The Time of the End: Hope Despite Distress

Monthly Theme: Daniel: The God Who Guides History โ€“ Faithfulness in the Fire of Testing
Year Theme 2026: โ€œThe King Is Coming Soon โ€“ Hope Beyond the Endโ€

๐Ÿ“– Central Bible Verse of the Day

โ€œThere will be a time of distress,
such as has not happened
since nations came into existence until that time.
But at that time your people will be delivered.โ€

โ€” Daniel 12:1

๐ŸŒ… Devotion of the Day

Daniel 12 brings us to the climax of history.
After visions of kingdoms, conflicts, and spiritual powers,
Daniel looks into the โ€œtime of the end.โ€

It will be a time of distress.
Yet it is not the end of hope.

In the middle of the announcement of crisis stands a promise:

โ€œBut at that time your people will be delivered.โ€

The focus is not on fear,
but on salvation.

โœจ Michael Stands Up

Daniel sees that Michael โ€” Christ Himself โ€”
stands up for His people.

This means:
When the world appears darkest,
God acts most decisively.

โ€œWhen these things begin to happen,
stand up and lift up your heads,
because your redemption is drawing near.โ€

โ€” Luke 21:28

Distress is not the goal,
but the final step before deliverance.

๐ŸŒฟ The Hope of the Resurrection

Daniel receives one of the clearest promises of the resurrection:

โ€œAnd many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth
shall awake, some to everlasting life.โ€

โ€” Daniel 12:2

God does not end His revelation with judgment,
but with life.

Even death is not the final word.

Ellen G. White wrote:
โ€œGodโ€™s people may be tested, but they will not be forsaken. In the end, deliverance will be complete.โ€
(The Great Controversy, p. 613)

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Wisdom in Difficult Times

Daniel 12 also speaks of the โ€œwise,โ€
who will lead many to righteousness.

โ€œThose who are wise shall shine
like the brightness of the firmament.โ€

โ€” Daniel 12:3

In times of uncertainty, God calls His people
to be light.

Not through fear,
but through steadfastness,
faith, and love.

๐ŸŒ„ Hope Beyond the End

The โ€œtime of the endโ€ is not only a period of testing.
It is the preparation for the return of Christ.

Daniel himself was told to โ€œrestโ€ and rise at the end (Daniel 12:13).
That is how the book ends โ€” with personal hope.

We too may know:
Our life is in Godโ€™s hand,
and our end is not loss,
but resurrection.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer

Dear Father in Heaven,
thank You that even in times of distress
You stand with Your people.

When the world becomes uncertain,
help me to fix my eyes on Your promises.

Strengthen my faith in the resurrection
and in Your coming kingdom.

Let me be a light,
even when darkness surrounds me.

Amen.

๐Ÿ’ญ Thought for the Day

โ€œThe darkest hour of world history will become the brightest hope for Godโ€™s people.โ€
โ€” Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy

๐Ÿ’ก Personal Application

  1. Read Daniel 12 completely.
Which promise speaks most deeply to you?

  2. Pray:
โ€œLord, give me steadfastness in difficult times.โ€

  3. Practical step:
Encourage someone today with the hope of the resurrection.

๐ŸŒบ Closing Verse

โ€œBut go your way till the end;
for you shall rest,
and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.โ€
