👑 The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End

🔥 April 20 – The Hour of Testing: Standing Firm in Faith

Monthly Theme: The Signs of the Times – Watch and Pray
Yearly Theme 2026: “The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End”

📖 Central Bible Text of the Day

“Because you have kept My command to endure patiently, I also will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world.”
Revelation 3:10

🌅 Devotional of the Day

The Bible speaks of a time,
when faith will be especially tested.
An “hour of trial,”
that will not affect only a few,
but the whole world.

These words sound serious —
and they are.

But in the midst of this announcement, there is a promise:
God preserves those who remain faithful to Him.

Faith Is Tested to Grow

Trials are not a sign
that God is distant.
Often, they are exactly the place
where our faith is deepened.

“So that the proven genuineness of your faith…
may be found more precious than gold, which perishes.”

1 Peter 1:7

An untested faith remains shallow.
A tested faith becomes strong.

Ellen G. White wrote:
“The final great test will reveal the true character.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 593)

🌿 Preparation Happens Today

Steadfastness does not arise suddenly in a crisis.
It grows in daily life.

Every decision for God,
every moment in prayer,
every act of trust in small things
prepares us for greater challenges.

Daniel stood in the lions’ den,
because he had been faithful in prayer beforehand.

🕊️ Kept, Not Spared from Everything

God does not always promise
to spare us from every difficulty —
but He promises to carry us through them.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.”
Isaiah 43:2

His presence is our security.

Ellen G. White wrote:
“God’s people will not be left alone in the hour of trial.”
(Maranatha, p. 197)

🌄 Standing Firm in an Uncertain World

The world is changing rapidly.
Values are shifting,
security is shaking.

But faith provides stability.

Standing firm does not mean
understanding everything —
but trusting God even when we do not understand everything.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
You know the trials that lie before me.

Strengthen my faith,
so that I may remain steadfast.

Help me to be faithful today,
so that I may stand firm tomorrow.

Be my strength in every difficulty
and my security in uncertain times.

Amen.

💭 Thought for the Day

“A faith that grows in daily life will endure in the trial.”
Ellen G. White
