πŸŒ™ Still awake?

Every evening, a little closer to Jesus.

πŸƒ Back to Jerusalem

πŸ“– Luke 24:33

β€œAnd they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together.”
Luke 24:33

Some encounters change everything.

Only a few hours earlier, the two disciples had wanted nothing more than to go home.

Disappointed.

Tired.

Without hope.

Now everything is different.

They get up immediately.

Even though it is evening.

Even though the journey is long.

Even though they should have been tired.

Why?

Because a true encounter with Jesus never leaves us unchanged.

Those who encounter Jesus do not remain the same.

The two disciples could not keep their joy to themselves.

They had to go back.

They had to tell others what they had experienced.

Perhaps you are thinking:

β€œI still know far too little about the Bible.”

Or:

β€œI cannot talk about my faith.”

The two disciples did not yet have answers to every question either.

But they had experienced something.

And that is exactly what they shared.

No one expects you to know everything.

But perhaps you can tell someone what Jesus has done in your life.

That is often the most powerful testimony.

πŸ’ Think about it

With whom could you share this week what Jesus means to you?

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear Father,

Thank You for the moments when I am able to encounter You.

Give me the courage not to be ashamed of my faith.

Help me point others to Jesus through my life and my words.

Show me whom I can give hope to this week.

Amen.

πŸŒ™ Sleep well.

Your loving Father is already going ahead of you into tomorrow.

See you tomorrow.
