⏳ God Does Not Forget His Promises
📖 Matthew 1:1–17
“This is the book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.”
Matthew 1:1
Waiting is not easy.
Waiting for a message.
Waiting for good grades.
Waiting for healing.
Waiting for answers.
Sometimes we ask ourselves:
“Has God forgotten me?”
When Matthew begins his Gospel, he reminds his readers of two names:
Abraham.
David.
God had made great promises to both of them.
But many hundreds of years passed before Jesus was born.
Generations came and went.
Kings were born.
Empires fell.
People died.
And yet…
God did not forget His promise.
Jesus came at exactly the right time.
Perhaps God is also working in your life differently from the way you would like.
Not always quickly.
But always faithfully.
Perhaps you cannot yet see what God is preparing.
But that does not mean He has stopped working.
God’s clock sometimes runs differently from ours.
But it is never wrong.
That is why you can trust Him.
Even while you are still waiting.
💭 Think About It
Which promise of God are you waiting for right now?
🙏 Prayer
Dear Father,
thank You for never forgetting Your promises.
Help me to trust You even when I have to wait.
Give me patience and a firm faith that You will act at the right time.
Thank You that Jesus is the proof that You always keep Your word.
Amen.
