πŸ‘‘ The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End

πŸŒ„ May 18 – The Resurrection: The Victory Over Death

Monthly Theme: The Cross and the Second Coming – The Victory of Love
Yearly Theme 2026: β€œThe King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End”

πŸ“– Central Bible Verse of the Day

β€œI am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies.”
β€” John 11:25

πŸŒ… Devotional Thought of the Day

The resurrection of Jesus is the answer to the cross. What appeared there to be an end was revealed on the third day as victory. Death could not hold Christ. The tomb did not remain closed. Through this, a truth was revealed that changes everything: life is stronger than death.

Without the resurrection, the cross would be incomplete. The resurrection confirms that Jesus’ sacrifice was accepted and that the power of sin and death has truly been broken. The victory won at the cross becomes visible in the resurrection.

For us, this means: death does not have the final word. The hope of the gospel reaches beyond the grave. Whoever believes in Christ lives β€” not only in this life, but beyond it.

✨ A Living Savior

Faith is not directed only toward a past event, but toward a living Person. Jesus did not remain in the grave. He lives β€” and that makes all the difference.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œThe resurrection of Christ is the evidence of the power of God to bring life out of death.”
(The Desire of Ages, p. 785)

This truth gives faith a firm foundation.

🌿 Hope Beyond Death

The resurrection of Jesus is not only a personal victory, but also a promise for all who trust in Him. It shows that death is not the end, but a transition.

This hope removes the terror of death. It changes how we live and how we look at the future.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œFor the believer, death is only a short sleep until the morning of the resurrection.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 550)

πŸ•ŠοΈ Living in the Light of Eternity

Those who believe in the resurrection live differently. Their perspective widens. Things that once seemed final lose their ultimate significance.

This does not mean that pain or loss disappear, but they are carried by a hope that reaches further.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You that Jesus lives.

Thank You for the victory over death
and for the hope You give me.

Help me to live in the light of the resurrection
and to trust You in everything.

Strengthen my faith
and direct my eyes toward eternity.

Amen.
