π Introduction
In 2 Chronicles chapter 18, Jehoshaphat faces a difficult situation. Although he began well, he enters into an alliance that leads him into a dangerous position. It is a chapter about influence, decision-making, and the question: Whom do we really listen to?

𧡠Commentary
Jehoshaphat forms an alliance with the king of Israel. At first, it seems like a political strategyβperhaps even a wise one. But this closeness places him in an environment that is not centered on God.
The king of Israel plans a war and invites Jehoshaphat to join. Jehoshaphat agreesβbut sets an important condition: they should first seek God.
This is a good moment. A brief ray of light.
But what follows is confusing.
Many prophets are called, and they all say the same: victory, success, no doubt. It sounds convincingβalmost too convincing.
Jehoshaphat senses it. Something is missing.
He asks for a prophet of God. And indeed, there is still oneβMicaiah. But he is not popular, because he often speaks uncomfortable truths.
Micaiah comesβand at first speaks like the others. But soon it becomes clear: he is not serious. Finally, he tells the truth.
And that truth is uncomfortable.
He warns of defeat. He shows that many voices do not automatically mean truth. Even spiritual deception becomes evidentβnot every βpropheticβ voice comes from God.
Yet despite the warning, they go into battle.
Jehoshaphat finds himself in great danger. He is almost killed. Only when he cries out to God is he saved.
The king of Israel diesβexactly as foretold.
The chapter ends with a serious realization: the truth was thereβbut it was ignored.

π Introduction
What Solomon underestimates becomes his downfall: the influence of his relationships.

𧡠Commentary
More and more women enter his lifeβpolitical alliances meant to secure his power. But they bring their gods with them.
Solomon believes he is strong enough. He thinks he can influenceβrather than be influenced. But exactly the opposite happens.
His heart begins to divide. Clear devotion to God is replaced by a mixture of truth and error.
It is not a sudden break, but a slow drift. And that is where the tragedy lies.
