π Still awake?
Every evening, one step closer to Jesus.

π Stay with us
π Luke 24:28β31
βStay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.β
Luke 24:29
It is evening.
The sun is slowly setting.
The day is almost over.
The two disciples do not want to let Jesus continue on His way.
So they ask Him:
βStay with us.β
What a simple sentence.
And yet there is so much in it.
Jesus does not force Himself on anyone.
He waits for an invitation.
He knocks.
He waits.
He wants to be with you tonight, too.
Not only on the Sabbath.
Not only in church.
Not only when everything is going well.
But right where you are now.
In your room.
With your thoughts.
With your questions.
With your joy.
Or with your tiredness.
The disciples invited Jesus in.
And that decision changed their evening.
Maybe it can change yours, too.
You do not need long prayers.
Sometimes four words are enough.
βJesus, stay with me.β
Maybe that is the most beautiful evening prayer of all.
π Think About It
When was the last time you consciously invited Jesus to be with you?
π Prayer
Dear Father,
thank You that Jesus is always willing to be with me.
Tonight, I consciously invite Him into my life.
Stay with me when I am joyful.
Stay with me when I am afraid.
Stay with me when I do not understand You.
And help me to live closer to You every day.
Amen.
π Sleep well.
Your dear Father stays with you.
The night belongs to Him just as much as the new morning does.
See you tomorrow.
