🚢 When Jesus walks with you

πŸ“– Luke 24:13–35

β€œWere not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
Luke 24:32

Sometimes life feels like a long road.

There are days when everything feels easy. And there are days when questions weigh heavier than answers.

That is exactly how two disciples felt. Sad and disappointed, they left Jerusalem. Everything they had hoped for seemed to be over.

But they did not know that they were not walking that road alone.

Jesus was already by their side.

He did not force himself on them. He simply walked with them. He listened. He asked questions. And then he began to explain the Holy Scriptures to them.

Only much later did they recognize who this stranger really was.

Maybe this is your story today too.

Maybe you have hardly noticed God in the last few days.

Maybe you are wondering why some things are so hard.

Maybe you are simply tired.

Then today I want to give you this hope:

Jesus walks with you even when you do not recognize him.

That is exactly why our shared journey begins with this story.

Because before we discover the New Testament together, Jesus first wants to be your companion.

Not only when you read the Bible.

But on your very personal journey.

Maybe you will not understand every Bible passage right away.

Maybe some questions will remain unanswered.

That is okay.

Just keep walking.

Step by step.

Evening by evening.

Because Jesus promised to be with you.

Today too.

Tomorrow too.

And every new day.

πŸ’ Think about it

Where do I wish today that Jesus would walk by my side?

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear Father,

thank you that I do not have to walk my road alone.

Even when I do not always see you, I know that you are with me.

Open my heart to your Word and help me to get to know Jesus a little better every day.

Walk with me on this journey and let my trust in you grow.

Amen.

πŸŒ™ Sleep well.

Your loving Father is watching over you.

See you tomorrow.
