📖 1. Human beings often misunderstand sin
Many people see sin either:
- as something unimportant
or: - as a list of outward prohibitions.
The story of the two brothers shows
that both extremes are dangerous:
- legalistic fear
- or unchecked self-destruction.
True spiritual understanding begins where
a person understands:
👉 Sin is more than breaking a rule —
it destroys the relationship with God and with life itself.
📜 2. The Bible clearly calls sin by its name
Today’s world often avoids the term “sin.”
People prefer to speak of:
- mistakes
- weaknesses
- problems
- personal lifestyle
But the Bible does not hide the reality of sin.
Because:
👉 What is not recognized as sin
cannot be healed either.
God clearly calls sin by its name,
not to destroy people,
but to lead them to repentance.
🌍 3. Sin is a distortion of the original way
The biblical understanding of sin means:
👉 missing the mark.
Human beings were originally created
to live in harmony with God.
Through sin, this order became “crooked.”
That is why humanity experiences:
- brokenness
- suffering
- guilt
- death
- inner emptiness
Sin never affects only individual actions,
but the whole being of a person.

👉 Without God’s truth, human beings do not recognize their lost condition — without God’s grace, they find no way out of it.

God’s law was given
so that human beings could:

The law functions like:
- a mirror

As a teacher guides the student,
so God’s law leads human beings to the realization:

Jesus Christ came:

The Gospel means:
Human beings do not have to earn their salvation.

But this grace also changes life.
Genuine faith leads:
- to repentance
- to renewed thinking
- to changed actions
- to growing love for God
