🌅 Devotional of the Day
The cross is not the end of the story. It opens our eyes to what lies ahead. What happened at Golgotha carries within it a hope that reaches far beyond the moment itself. This hope is not based on human expectations, but on what God has done.
Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, a new future became possible. Guilt has been forgiven, separation has been overcome, and life has gained a new perspective. For the believer, the story does not end in death, but leads into fellowship with God.
This hope is alive. It is not merely an idea, but a certainty that shapes life here and now. It gives strength in difficult times and lifts our eyes beyond what is visible.
✨ A Hope That Endures
There are many forms of hope, but not all of them can carry us through life. Some depend on circumstances, others on people. The hope that comes from the cross is different. It remains, even when everything else changes.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“The hope founded in Christ is not destroyed by trials, but strengthened through them.”

This hope is firmly anchored in God’s faithfulness.
🌿 A New Perspective on the Future
Whoever has hope sees the future differently. Challenges do not disappear, but they lose their power to rule the heart.
The second coming of Jesus thus becomes the goal toward which we are moving. It is the fulfillment of what began at the cross.

🕊️ Living Hope in Everyday Life
Hope is not meant only for special moments. It reveals itself in daily life, in decisions, and in the way we deal with difficulties.
A hopeful life does not stand still. It keeps moving forward, even when the path is not always easy. It trusts that God has the final word.

Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for the hope You give me through the cross.
Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You
and not on my circumstances.
Strengthen my trust
and fill my heart with Your living hope.
Lead me on Your path
until the day I see You face to face.
Amen.
