👑 The King is coming soon – Hope beyond the end
🕊️ March 31 – A Life Like Daniel: Faithfulness Until the Last Breath
Monthly Theme: Daniel: The God Who Directs History – Faithfulness in the Fiery Trial
Year Theme 2026: “The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End”
📖 Central Bible Text of the Day
“And Daniel remained there until the first year of King Cyrus.”
— Daniel 1:21
🌅 Devotional of the Day
The book of Daniel begins with a young man in exile
and ends with an elderly servant of God
who remained faithful throughout his life.
He saw kingdoms rise and fall.
He survived kings, crises, and dangers.
But the most striking feature of his life was not his wisdom —
but his consistency.
Daniel remained.
Not perfect,
but faithful.
✨ Faithfulness Is a Way of Life
Daniel’s story shows
that faith is not only made up of great moments.
His faithfulness was seen:
- in daily prayer
- in sincere service
- in quiet trust in God’s guidance
“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much.”
— Luke 16:10
Ellen G. White wrote:
“Daniel’s life was a testimony of what God can do through a fully surrendered person.”
(Prophets and Kings, p. 546)
🌿 Faithfulness Across Generations
Daniel lived through several world empires —
yet his heart remained firmly focused on God.
He showed that faithfulness is not a matter of age,
but of daily decision.
Many begin strong in faith,
but Daniel reminds us of the beauty of a life
that remains steadfast until the end.
🕊️ A Quiet Legacy
Daniel left no dynasty,
no monuments,
no political achievements.
His legacy was spiritual:
A life that reflected God’s character.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“The greatest sermon Daniel ever gave was his own life.”
(Maranatha, p. 211)
Our greatest testimony will often not be what we say,
but how we live.
🌄 Looking Toward the Goal
The month ends with the same hope
that sustained Daniel:
God’s kingdom is coming.
The faithful will rise again.
The King will appear.
Faithfulness until the last breath is possible
because God Himself remains faithful.
🙏 Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for the example of Daniel and his lifelong faithfulness.
Help me not only to start well,
but to remain faithful until the end.
Strengthen me in daily life,
in both small and great decisions.
Let my life be a quiet testimony of Your love,
until I see You face to face.
Amen.
💭 Thought for the Day
“A life of consistent faithfulness is a bright light that shines beyond one’s own lifetime.”
— Ellen G. White
💡 Personal Application

What line of faithfulness do you see from beginning to end? - Pray: “Lord, teach me to remain faithful, day by day.”
- Practical: Thank God today for His work in your life so far.
🌺 Closing Verse
“Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
— Revelation 2:10
