👑 The King is coming soon – Hope beyond the end

🛡️ March 28 – Steadfast Until the End: The Character of the Saints

Monthly Theme: Daniel: The God Who Directs History – Faithfulness in the Fire of Testing
Year Theme 2026: “The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End”

📖 Central Bible Text of the Day

“Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”
— Revelation 14:12

🌅 Devotional of the Day

The book of Daniel shows people who remain faithful under pressure.
Fiery furnaces, lions’ dens, and royal decrees could not break their faith.

These stories point to a greater picture:
the character of God’s people at the end of time.

Steadfastness does not mean perfection,
but consistent trust in God.

Daniel remained faithful — not only in great moments,
but throughout his entire life.

Patience as Spiritual Strength

The Bible connects holiness with patience.
Patience is not passive endurance,
but active faithfulness despite challenges.

“You have need of endurance,
so that after you have done the will of God…”

Hebrews 10:36

Ellen G. White wrote:
“Character is not formed in a moment, but through daily choices for what is right.”
(Maranatha, p. 50)

🌿 Obedience and Faith Together

Revelation 14:12 combines two elements:

  • the commandments of God
  • the faith of Jesus

Faithfulness is neither legalistic nor indifferent.
It is the expression of a living relationship with Christ.

Daniel obeyed God not out of fear,
but out of love and trust.

🕊️ Steadfast in a Changing World

The world around Daniel was constantly changing.
Yet his inner compass remained steady.

We also experience rapid change today.
The character of the saints is revealed in this:
they are guided by God’s Word.

Ellen G. White wrote:
“The last generation will not stand by external power, but by a character formed by Christ.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 623)

🌄 Preparation for Eternity

Steadfastness today prepares us for eternity.
God’s goal is not only our survival in trials,
but our transformation.

When Christ returns,
a character will be revealed
that has matured through His grace.

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,
thank You for shaping my character.

Help me remain faithful,
even when the path is difficult.

Strengthen my faith
and teach me patient endurance.

Let my life reflect Your love
and prepare me for Your coming kingdom.

Amen.
