π The King Is Coming Soon β Hope Beyond the End
π 10 January β The End of Sin
Monthly Theme: The Blessed Hope β Living in Expectation
Theme for 2026: βThe King Is Coming Soon β Hope Beyond the Endβ
π Central Bible Text of the Day
βThen Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death.β
β Revelation 20:14
π Devotional Thought for the Day
Sin is the root of all suffering, all separation, all death.
It began in the pride of Lucifer and has run through all human historyβ
yet the Bible assures us: sin is finite, but Godβs love is eternal.
βThey shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.β
β Isaiah 11:9
When Christ completes His work of redemption,
the universe will be cleansed.
No pain, no death, no tears will remain.
Then the ancient promise will be fulfilled:
βGod will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death,
nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain.β
β Revelation 21:4
β¨ Sin β a Foreign Element in the Universe
Sin does not belong in the order of heaven.
It is like a disease that destroys peace,
like a shadow in the light of eternity.
Therefore God must remove it completelyβ
not out of vengeance, but out of love.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βSin and sinners will not exist forever.
Godβs love demands justice,
and His justice is the expression of His love.β
(The Great Controversy, p. 678)
As long as sin exists, perfect happiness cannot exist.
Only when evil is destroyed
will the universe live in complete harmony.
πΏ The Final Judgment β the Triumph of Love
The end of sin is not a dark chapter,
but the final act of divine mercy.
Even the judgment of the wicked reveals Godβs goodness.
βFor the Lord will judge His people,
and He will have compassion on His servants.β
β Psalm 135:14
Ellen White describes the scene this way:
βWhen the great controversy is ended,
there is no trace of sin remaining.
The entire creation is in perfect purity and harmony.
From the smallest atom to the greatest world, all declare:
βGod is love.ββ
(The Great Controversy, p. 678)
The fire of judgment is not cruel revenge,
but divine cleansingβ
a final restoration of the order that began in heaven.
ποΈ A Universe at Peace
βFor behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.β
β Isaiah 65:17
When sin is destroyed,
the universe will never feel its sting again.
All of Godβs kingdom will live in the light of love.
The redeemed will sing,
not out of fear, but out of joy,
because the power of evil has been broken forever.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βFrom the smallest atom to the greatest world,
all things, animate and inanimate, declare in unshadowed beauty
that God is love.β
(The Great Controversy, p. 678)
The story of sin has an end,
but the story of love will never end.
π Prayer
Eternal Father,
thank You that You give the world not only grace,
but also completion.
We long for the day
when You will bring all evil to an end
and renew creation.
Cleanse our hearts even now from all sin,
so that we may be part of Your eternal peace.
Teach us to live in hope,
knowing that darkness passes,
but Your light remains.
Amen.
π Thought for the Day
βThe destruction of sin is the highest revelation of Godβs love.
Only when evil ceases to exist
can goodness endure forever.β
β Ellen G. White, Maranatha, p. 347
