π£ June 22 β Sharing the Judgment Message: Hope Instead of Fear
Monthly theme: The heavenly judgment β justice and grace
2026 yearly theme: βSoon the King Is Coming β Hope Beyond the Endβ
π Central Bible Text for the Day
βAnd I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth.β
β Revelation 14:6
π Devotional of the Day
The message of the heavenly judgment was not given to frighten people, but to lead them to Christ. That is precisely why the first angelβs message begins with the βeverlasting gospel.β Before judgment is spoken of, the good news is proclaimed. God wants people to understand that the judgment is not opposed to grace, but is part of Godβs plan of salvation.
Those who share this message therefore carry a great responsibility. It is possible to speak about the judgment in such a way that people only feel fear. But that does not reflect the spirit of the gospel. The biblical message of judgment is meant to awaken, but at the same time to give hope. It shows that God brings truth to light, that evil will not remain forever, and that Christ intercedes for His people.
In a world full of uncertainty, people do not need additional fear, but a clear and loving message. They need to know that there is a just God who guides history and a merciful Redeemer who died for them. The judgment message is therefore an invitation: Come to Christ, trust in His grace, and live in the light of His truth.
β¨ Combining Truth with Love
Godβs truth must never be separated from His love. Truth without love can appear harsh, while love without truth remains superficial. Christ united both perfectly.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βThe last message of warning is to be given to the world in love and to reveal the character of God.β
(Christβs Object Lessons, p. 415)
This means that not only the content of our message matters, but also the spirit in which we share it.
πΏ A Message of Hope
The judgment is good news for all who suffer under injustice, pain, and guilt. It says: God sees. God does not forget. God will restore. And for all who trust in Christ, there is no condemnation.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βThe message of the judgment points people to Christ as their Advocate and Redeemer.β
(The Great Controversy, p. 488)
Therefore, every proclamation of the judgment should ultimately lead to Jesus.
ποΈ Life as a Witness
The judgment message is not shared through words alone. Our lives also speak. When people recognize peace, honesty, mercy, and hope in us, the message becomes credible.
A life in the light of the judgment is not a life of fear, but a life of clarity, grace, and expectation.
π Prayer
Dear Father in heaven,
thank You for the everlasting gospel and for the hope found in Your judgment message.
Help me not to share Your truth harshly or without love, but in the spirit of Christ.
Give me courage to speak of Your grace and wisdom to lead people to Jesus.
Let my life be a testimony that Your judgment is just and Your love is great.
Prepare my heart and use me as a light for others.
Amen.
