π THE KING IS COMING SOON | Foreword and Introduction
π The King is coming soon β Hope Beyond the End
π Foreword
The year 2026 lies before usβanother year of grace, one year closer to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This devotional invites us to fix our eyes on what remains forever: on Christ, the Victor over sin and death, and on the coming kingdom that will have no end.
The books of Daniel, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Revelation unite in one message of hope: God holds history in His hands.
This devotional seeks to encourage faithfulnessβeven when the world is shaken. For soon heaven will open, and the cry will resound:
βBehold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, that He might save us!β β Isaiah 25:9
ποΈ Introduction
From the very beginning, the Advent message has been a message of longingβa longing for completion, for restoration, for the nearness of our Redeemer.
In a time when so much is passing away, we are reminded: the hope of believers does not rest on this earth, but on the promise of Jesus:
βI will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.β β John 14:3
This promise is the foundation of our identity as Seventh-day Adventistsβpeople of expectation, who live, believe, and serve in the light of the Second Coming.
This devotional leads us through the great lines of Godβs plan:
from the judgment in Daniel, through the signs of the times in the Gospels, to the glorious fulfillment in Revelation.
It calls us to anchor our lives anew in Christ and to wait for His return with joy and faithfulness.
