🔥 A Burning Heart
📖 Luke 24:28–32
“Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

Do you know that feeling?
You read a Bible verse.
You hear a sermon.
Or someone tells you about Jesus.
And suddenly something touches you deep in your heart.
Not loudly.
Not spectacularly.
But you sense:
God has just spoken to me.
That is exactly what the two disciples experienced.
While Jesus was speaking with them, something changed.
Not their eyes first.
But their hearts.
Only later did they recognize Jesus.
But their hearts had recognized Him long before.
I find that beautiful.
God often does not begin with proof.
He begins with our hearts.
Maybe you are waiting for a great miracle.
Maybe you are hoping for a clear answer.
But sometimes God gives something different:
Peace.
Hope.
New confidence.
A quiet burning in the heart.
Do not underestimate these moments.
They can be the beginning of something great.
When Jesus speaks to your heart, listen closely.
Because that is exactly where true faith begins.

When was the last time your heart sensed that God was speaking to you?

Dear Father,
thank You that You do not only want to reach my mind, but also my heart.
Please give me a heart that is open to Your Word.
Let me recognize Your voice and help me to trust You more each day.
Light within me the joy of walking with Jesus.
Amen.
