👑 THE KING IS COMING SOON | 24.01.2026 | The Seal of God
👑 The King is coming soon – Hope beyond the end
📅 January 24 – The Seal of God
Monthly theme: The Blessed Hope — Living in Expectation
Year theme 2026: “Soon the King Is Coming — Hope Beyond the End”
📖 Central Bible Text of the Day
“Seal the servants of our God on their foreheads.”
— Revelation 7:3
🌅 Devotional of the Day
The Bible speaks of two signs in the end times:
the seal of God and the mark of the beast (Revelation 13–14).
These symbols do not represent visible marks,
but spiritual decisions—
faithfulness to God or conformity to the world’s system.
The seal of God is the sign of belonging to Him.
It shows that a person loves God, trusts Him,
and remains faithful to His law, especially in the hour of testing.
“And they shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts,
“on the day that I make them My jewels.”
— Malachi 3:17
The seal is a sign of divine approval,
an expression of the intimate bond between God and His children.
✨ What does the Seal of God mean?
In ancient times, every royal seal had three features:
name, title, and territory of authority.
God’s law contains these same three elements—
in the fourth commandment, the Sabbath commandment (Exodus 20:8–11).
There God is identified as the Creator of heaven and earth.
“For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
and rested the seventh day;
therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”
— Exodus 20:11
The seal of God is therefore inseparably connected with His authority as Creator.
Whoever keeps the Sabbath testifies
that they acknowledge God as Creator and Redeemer.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“The seal of the living God will be placed upon those only who love and keep the law of God.
The Sabbath is the great test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 605)
🌿 Sealed by the Holy Spirit
The seal of God is more than outward obedience.
It is the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart.
“In Him you also, after you heard the word of truth,
were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.”
— Ephesians 1:13
God seals His people through His Spirit,
who cleanses the heart, transforms the character,
and strengthens faithfulness in the test.
Ellen White wrote:
“The seal of the living God will be placed upon those only who bear a likeness to Christ in character.
It is the work of the Holy Spirit to cleanse and sanctify.”
(Maranatha, p. 243)
The seal is not an outward sign,
but the inward imprint of God’s nature.
🕊️ The Time of Sealing
Before the plagues are poured out (Revelation 16),
God’s people will be sealed.
This is a time of decision,
when every soul reveals its loyalty.
“He who is unjust, let him be unjust still;
he who is holy, let him be holy still.”
— Revelation 22:11
Ellen White describes:
“Sealing is a work of preparation.
It means being settled into the truth, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved.”
(Maranatha, p. 200)
God is preparing His people for that hour now.
He shapes, tests, and purifies,
so that they remain grounded in the truth.
🌄 The Seal and the Second Coming
When Christ returns, the sealed will be recognizable—
not by outward marks,
but by their likeness to Him.
“Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion,
and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand,
having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.”
— Revelation 14:1
Ellen White wrote:
“The sealed are those who have the character of God engraved in their foreheads.
They have gained the victory over sin and selfishness and stand firm in the truth.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 613)
This seal will be the entry pass into the eternal kingdom of peace.
🙏 Prayer
Holy Father,
seal my heart with Your Spirit.
Write Your law deep into my thoughts and feelings,
so that I remain faithful when the test comes.
Let me rest on Your Sabbath with the certainty
that You are my Creator and Redeemer.
Prepare me, O Lord,
for the day when You call Your own.
Amen.
💭 Thought for the Day
“The seal of God is the perfect impress of His character upon His people.
Only those who live in Christ can receive this seal.”
— Ellen G. White, Maranatha, p. 244
💡 Personal Application
Read Revelation 7:1–4 and Ezekiel 9.
Ask God to seal you daily through His Spirit.
Pray: “Lord, imprint Your character on my heart.”
Practical step:
Live this week intentionally in the spirit of the Sabbath—
in rest, trust, and obedience motivated by love.
🌺 Closing Verse
“The Lord knows those who are His,” and,
“Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
— 2 Timothy 2:19
