Samson has now grown up—strong, brave, and blessed by God 💪✨. In this chapter we experience his first adventures. Some choices are good, others are more difficult. But in everything we see this: God can even bring something good out of mistakes.

🐾 A special love in Timnah

One day Samson went with his parents to the city of Timnah. There he saw a young woman—and suddenly his heart began to beat faster ❤️.
“I like her! I want to marry her,” he said boldly.

His parents were surprised 😯.
“But Samson, she is not from our people!”
But Samson stood firm: “I want her.”

(What no one knew: God would use this story to help Israel.)

🦁 The roaring lion—and incredible strength

On the way to Timnah, Samson walked ahead for a while. Suddenly, a young lion jumped out of the vineyards! 🦁😱
It roared loudly and attacked Samson.

But at that moment the Spirit of God came upon Samson—and he received strength no human had 💥💪.
He grabbed the lion … and defeated it!
No one is that strong on their own.
God gave Samson this strength—and Samson knew it.

But he told no one. Not even his parents.

🍯 Sweet honey in the lion

Some time later Samson passed by the same place again.
He looked—and was amazed 😮:
Inside the body of the lion, a swarm of bees 🐝 had built a nest—full of honey! 🍯

Samson tasted it and even took some for his parents.
But he did not tell them where it came from—because it was a secret.

🎉 The great celebration—and a riddle

Now the wedding day came.
Samson held a great feast, as was the custom then. Thirty men from the area joined him.

Samson loved challenges, so he gave them a riddle:

🧩 “Out of the eater came something to eat,
and out of the strong came something sweet.”

No one understood it.
What could it mean? 🤔

The men thought day and night … but they could not solve it.

😡 Pressure and tears

Because they were desperate, the men went to Samson’s future wife.
“Get him to tell you the answer—or we will hurt you!” they threatened.

The young woman cried and begged Samson again and again 😢:
“Please, tell me the answer!”

After days of pleading, Samson gave in—and told her.
And she passed it on.

💥 Samson becomes angry—and God’s plan begins

When the men gave the correct answer—“What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion?”—Samson knew at once that they had cheated.

He became very angry 😠.
But even now God was at work:
He used this situation to strengthen Israel against the Philistines.

So Samson’s journey began—a path full of strength, adventure, mistakes … and God’s guidance.

Samson experiences his first adventures:
He meets a woman, fights a lion, tells a riddle, and experiences betrayal. Yet God is with him. Samson’s strength comes from God—and God begins to save Israel through him.
