๐Ÿ‘‘ The King is coming soon โ€“ Hope beyond the end

๐Ÿ“… 16 January โ€“ The Life of the Redeemed

Monthly theme: The blessed hope โ€“ living in expectation
Year theme 2026: โ€œSoon the King is coming โ€“ hope beyond the endโ€

๐Ÿ“– Central Bible Text of the Day

โ€œThey will see His face,
and His name will be on their foreheads.
There will be no more night.
They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun,
for the Lord God will give them light.
And they will reign for ever and ever.โ€
โ€” Revelation 22:4โ€“5

๐ŸŒ… Devotional Thought for the Day

What will the life of the redeemed be like?
It is a life beyond all imaginationโ€”
free from sin, free from pain, free from the limitations of time.
Yet the greatest gift is not gold or glory,
but the presence of Jesus Himself.

โ€œI saw no temple in the city,
for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.โ€

โ€” Revelation 21:22

Everything that was lost will be restored.
Humanity will once again live in perfect harmony with God,
as it once did in the Garden of Eden.
The universe will be filled with praise and love,
and the redeemed will dwell in the undimmed joy of heaven.

โœจ Joy Without End

โ€œIn Your presence is fullness of joy;
at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.โ€

โ€” Psalm 16:11

The joy of heaven is not loud and fleeting,
but deep, pure, and everlasting.
It grows out of the certainty that nothing can ever separate us again.
Every soul is safely held in perfect love,
and every encounter is an expression of divine goodness.

Ellen G. White wrote:

โ€œThe redeemed will live in the presence of God,
in never-ending joy over His love.
Their joy will increase as they come to know God more and more.
Learning and service in heaven will continue forever,
and yet there will always be something new to discover.โ€

(The Great Controversy, p. 677)

What a thought:
Eternity does not mean stagnation, but endless growth in love and knowledge.

๐ŸŒฟ Growing and Serving in Heaven

The life of the redeemed is not idleness.
Godโ€™s children will be activeโ€”
not out of necessity, but out of joy.

โ€œThey will build houses and dwell in them;
they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.โ€

โ€” Isaiah 65:21

Ellen White describes:

โ€œIn the new earth, everyone will develop their unique gifts.
There will be no weariness, no disappointment.
Service will be joy,
and every task will be a song of praise.โ€

(The Great Controversy, p. 677)

Music, art, discovery, and fellowship
will be part of divine life there.
The hearts of the redeemed will overflow with gratitude,
and all creation will resonate in harmony with the Creator.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ The Center of All Joy โ€“ the Lamb

โ€œThe Lamb who is in the midst of the throne
will shepherd them
and lead them to living fountains of water.โ€

โ€” Revelation 7:17

Jesus remains the center of heaven.
He will bear the marks of His loveโ€”
the scars in His hands, the story of our redemption.
These signs will remind us forever
what love has cost and what it has won.

Ellen White writes:

โ€œThrough endless ages the cross of Christ
will be the theme of praise and contemplation for the redeemed.
In Christ, the Crucified One,
they behold the King of glory.โ€

(The Great Controversy, p. 651)

Thus, the life of the redeemed is not only peace,
but loving worshipโ€”
an endless song:
โ€œTo Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His blood โ€ฆ
to Him be glory and power forever!โ€

(Revelation 1:5โ€“6)

๐Ÿ™ Prayer

Lord Jesus,
thank You for the promise of a life without end.

I cannot grasp how glorious it will be
to live in Your presence and see You face to face.

Teach me to begin living the life of heaven already todayโ€”
in love, joy, patience, and service.

Hold my faith firm
until the day comes when I will see You as You are.

Amen.

๐Ÿ’ญ Thought for the Day

โ€œIn heaven there will be no selfishness, no suffering, and no pride.
There the heart will beat in perfect unity with the heart of Christ.
This is the true life of the redeemed.โ€

โ€” Ellen G. White, Maranatha, p. 359

๐Ÿ’ก Personal Application

  1. Read Revelation 7:9โ€“17 and 22:1โ€“5.
Imagine the life of the redeemedโ€”and thank God for it already today.

  2. Pray:
โ€œLord, let me live a piece of heaven on earth every day.โ€

  3. Practical step:
    Serve someone today in love,
just as you will serve in love in heaven.

๐ŸŒบ Closing Verse

โ€œAnd so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage one another with these words.โ€
