🌅 Devotional of the Day
The work of Jesus on the cross does not end with forgiveness. It continues into a new life. Whoever accepts Christ by faith does not remain the same. The Bible describes this change not as a superficial improvement, but as something completely new.
A life “in Christ” means that our identity is no longer defined by our past, but by what God begins within us. The old loses its power. Thoughts, habits, and priorities gradually change step by step.
This transformation does not happen through human effort alone. It is the result of a living relationship with Christ. He works in the heart, shapes the character, and leads into a life that increasingly reflects His nature.
✨ A New Heart
God promises not only outward help, but inner renewal. He changes the heart itself — the place where decisions are born.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“The new birth is a change of heart; it brings the life into harmony with the will of God.”

This change is often quiet, yet profound. It becomes visible in our thinking, speaking, and actions.
🌿 Growth in Daily Life
The new life does not reach perfection in a single moment. It is a journey of growth. God leads us step by step, patiently and faithfully.
There will be times when we see progress, and others when we become more aware of our weaknesses. But what matters is not the speed, but the direction.

🕊️ Transformation with Purpose
The new life has a purpose: the restoration of the image of God in humanity. What was lost through sin is renewed through Christ.
This transformation not only prepares us for this life, but also for eternity. It is part of what God will complete when Jesus returns.

Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for giving me a new life in Christ.
Thank You for not leaving me as I am,
but for transforming me.
Help me to trust You daily
and to remain open to Your work within me.

and guide me step by step along Your path.
