👑 The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End
🌿 April 3 – Wars and Unrest: Peace in Christ
Monthly theme: The Signs of the Times – Watch and Pray
Yearly theme 2026: “The King Is Coming Soon – Hope Beyond the End”
📖 Central Bible Text of the Day
“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not troubled.”
— Matthew 24:6
🌅 Devotional for the Day
Our world is marked by unrest.
The news reports conflicts, tensions, and uncertainty.
Jesus already foretold this reality.
But in the middle of this description, He speaks a decisive sentence:
“Do not be troubled.”
This does not mean that we should ignore reality —
but that we may see it in the light of God.
✨ A Peace That Goes Deeper
The world seeks peace through negotiations, power, or control.
But true peace begins in the heart.
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you.”
— John 14:27
This peace does not depend on outward circumstances.
It comes from a relationship with Christ.
Ellen G. White wrote:
“The peace of Christ in the heart keeps the believer calm, even when the world around him is shaken.”
(The Desire of Ages, p. 336)
🌿 Trust Instead of Fear
Wars and unrest show
that this world is not our final home.
They remind us
that God’s kingdom is necessary.
“The LORD is my refuge and my fortress.”
— Psalm 91:2
When we trust God,
we do not have to be ruled by fear.
🕊️ A Testimony of Peace
In a restless world, Christians are called
to be bearers of peace.
This means:
- remaining calm when others panic
- passing on hope
- showing trust in God
Ellen G. White wrote:
“God’s children are to reflect the peace of heaven in a troubled world.”
(Maranatha, p. 52)
🌄 Hope Beyond the Chaos
Wars are a sign,
but not the end of the story.
The Bible shows:
God’s kingdom will come,
and with it eternal peace.
This hope carries us through every uncertainty.
🙏 Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
in a restless world I seek Your peace.
Guard my heart from fear
and fill me with Your trust.
Help me to be a bearer of Your peace
and to share hope with others.
Direct my eyes to Your coming kingdom,
where true peace reigns.
Amen.
