πŸ‘‘ The King is coming soon – Hope beyond the end

πŸ“… March 9 – The Sanctuary Will Be Cleansed: Hope in the Judgment

Monthly Theme: Daniel: The God Who Guides History – Faithfulness in the Fiery Test
Year Theme 2026: β€œSoon the King is Coming – Hope Beyond the End”

πŸ“– Central Bible Verse of the Day

β€œUntil two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings;
then the sanctuary shall be restored.”
β€” Daniel 8:14

πŸŒ… Devotional of the Day

Daniel 8 leads us deeper into the prophetic course of world history.
Again, powers appear that rise up against God.
But in the midst of this vision stands a promise:

β€œThen the sanctuary will be restored.”

This is not a dark threat,
but a message of hope.

The sanctuary in heaven is the place
where Christ works on our behalf.

β€œWe have such a High Priest …
who serves in the sanctuary, in the true tabernacle.”
β€” Hebrews 8:1–2

✨ Christ – Our High Priest

The earthly sanctuary in the Old Testament was a shadow.
It pointed forward to what Christ would do in heaven.

He is not only our sacrifice,
but also our advocate.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œChrist has entered the heavenly sanctuary to intercede for His people. There the case of every person is examined.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 480)

This means:
Our lives are not indifferent to God.
He takes every decision seriously.

🌿 Judgment as Restoration

The cleansing of the sanctuary is connected with the heavenly judgment.
But this judgment serves restoration.

It shows the universe
who is saved through Christ.

β€œThere is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
β€” Romans 8:1

For those who trust in Jesus,
the judgment is not a threatβ€”
but confirmation.

πŸ•ŠοΈ A Call to Seriousness

The message of Daniel 8 reminds us
that we are living in a decisive time.

God calls His people to clarity, repentance, and devotion.

Ellen G. White wrote:
β€œThe message of judgment is to awaken hearts and lead to preparation.”
(The Great Controversy, p. 490)

Not out of fear,
but out of love.

πŸŒ„ Hope Beyond the End

Daniel was deeply troubled by the vision.
But with the light of the New Testament we can see:

Jesus stands at the center.

He is the Judgeβ€”
and at the same time the Savior.

His work in the sanctuary shows:
God is actively working toward the completion of His plan of redemption.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear Father in heaven,
thank You that Jesus is my High Priest.

Thank You that I have an advocate in the judgment.

Cleanse my heart and shape my character.

Help me to live in the light of Your truth
and to remain in close fellowship with Christ each day.

Let me live in trust and hope,
because Your plan is perfect.

Amen.

πŸ’ Thought for the Day

β€œThe heavenly sanctuary is the place where Christ works for us β€” that is our greatest hope.”
β€” Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy

πŸ’‘ Personal Application

Read Daniel 8 and Hebrews 8–9.
What role does Christ play in the heavenly sanctuary?

Pray: β€œLord, examine my heart and guide me.”

Practical: Today consciously ask God for forgiveness and renewed dedication.

those who come to God through Him.”
