β¨Β Devotional
Here Paul lays out a grand promise: Whoever believes is not limited to their own understanding but gains access to Godβs mind through the Holy Spirit. Picture a locked treasure vault filled with radiant jewels. Our human logic is like a blank key that never fits. Only when Godβs Spirit intervenes does it turn, unlatch the gate, and let us in.
In our everyday lives, we tend to reduce God to moral rules, biblical facts, or pious feelings. But Godβs plan is far greater: He invites us by His Spirit into the very depths of His heartβinto the motives of His love and the scope of His purposes for our lives. That means Bible reading and prayer arenβt just mental exercises; theyβre opportunities to tap directly into the currents of Heaven.

π Story β The Locked Library
In a small town there stood an ancient, mysterious library that everyone talked about but no one could enter. Rumor had it that its volumes opened up new worldsβbooks that, once read, would change your life forever. Jonas, a curious 17-year-old, dreamed of gaining entry. He knocked on the heavy wooden door, but it wouldnβt budge. There was no visible lock or latchβit was as if it simply would not open.
One day, Mr. Berger, the librarian, appeared beside him. βAre you ready for more than mere facts?β he asked. When Jonas nodded, Mr. Berger handed him an ordinary candle and a lighter. βLight it, go on inβand refuse to be satisfied with ordinary light.β
Hesitantly, Jonas stepped into the foyer and lit the candle. Instantly its faint glow illuminated ancient bookshelves with titles unseen on any map. But in that moment, Jonas also felt an inner warmthβa quiet whisper: βDo not rely on your eyesight alone.β
He moved deeper in. The darker the room grew, the brighter the candle burned, as if sustained by another source. Finally he reached a pedestal holding a leather-bound book with no title. In tiny letters on the cover was one word: βRevelations.β
When he opened it, no data charts spilled out. Instead, he sensed a Presence inviting him to ask question after question: βWho am I? How do you love me? Where are you leading me?β With each sentence, little flames danced around his thoughts, unlocking new perspectives. By the end, Jonas knew more about Godβs heart than any formulaβand he tucked the book under his arm to carry its fire home.
