π Central Bible Text for the Day
βAnd the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads.β
β Isaiah 35:10
π Devotional of the Day
The hope of faith is not only quiet trust, but leads to deep joy. This joy is not based on outward circumstances, but on the certainty that God will complete His work.
The Bible describes the future of the redeemed not only with images of peace and restoration, but also of joy. It is a joy that grows out of the encounter with God β from the knowledge that everything that was separated will be united again.
Today we still live in a world where pain, loss, and uncertainty are real. But this reality is not the end of the story. Godβs promise shows that a time is coming when hope will become reality.
β¨ Joy That Grows from Hope
The joy of the redeemed does not begin only in the future. It begins already here, in trusting Godβs promises. Whoever knows where their path is leading can live with hope even today.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βThe joy of the redeemed begins in trust in Godβs promises and is completed in His presence.β
(Maranatha, p. 348)
This joy is not loud or superficial, but deep and sustaining.
πΏ Joy Despite Challenges
Joy does not mean that difficulties disappear. It means that we do not face them without hope. It gives life a different foundation.
Even in difficult times, this joy can remain, because it does not depend on circumstances, but on God.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βA heart that trusts God can preserve joy even in trials.β
(Steps to Christ, p. 118)
ποΈ The Joy of the Encounter
The greatest joy of the redeemed will be the encounter with Christ. The One in whom we have believed will stand visibly before us. What we grasp today by faith will then become reality.
This perspective fills life with a quiet but deep joy.
π Prayer
Dear Father in heaven,
thank You for the joy You give me.
Help me to live in this hope,
even when my everyday life is sometimes difficult.
Fill my heart with Your joy
and direct my eyes toward the future with You.
Let me share this joy with others
and live from Your promise.
Amen.
