As soon as Solomon finishes his prayer, something extraordinary happens. Fire comes down from heaven and touches the sacrifice on the altar. It is a clear sign: God has heard the prayer.
But that is not all. At the same time, the glory of God fills the temple. A powerful presence can be felt. It is so strong that the priests cannot even enter. Everyone immediately realizes: God is truly there.

When the people see this, they fall to their knees. They bow down to the ground and worship God. Again and again they say:
“He is good! His love never ends!”
It is a moment full of awe, wonder, and joy. The whole people recognize: God has heard their prayer and is close to them.

After this special sign, the people bring many sacrifices. It is a huge celebration. The temple is dedicated, and everyone takes part.
Day after day they celebrate together, pray, and thank God. It is a time full of joy. The people are grateful for everything God has done.
After a few days, they return home – filled with joy and peace. They have experienced something they will never forget.
🌙 God speaks to Solomon
During the night, God appears to Solomon again. Now He speaks to him directly.
God tells him that He has heard his prayer and has chosen the temple as a place where people can come to Him. It is a place of meeting.
But God also speaks about the future. He explains that there may be difficult times – such as drought or other problems. Then the people should not despair, but return to Him.

God says something very important to Solomon – words that are still well known today:
If the people turn to Him, pray, seek Him, and change their lives, then He will hear them, forgive them, and heal their land.
This shows: God is ready to forgive. He wants people to return to Him.

God also makes it clear that people have a choice. If they listen to Him and remain faithful, things will go well for them.
But if they turn away from Him, there will be consequences. The temple alone is not enough – what matters is how people live with God.
