π Devotional of the Day
One of humanityβs greatest fears is the fear of condemnation. We are afraid that our mistakes will be discovered, that our failures will become visible, or that in the end we might not be enough. This fear can also affect spiritual life. Some Christians live with the worry of whether they will be able to stand in the judgment.
Yet into the midst of this uncertainty, Godβs Word speaks a liberating truth: βNo condemnation.β
Paul did not write these words to perfect people. He addressed them to believers who know their weaknesses and depend daily on Godβs grace. Their security does not lie in doing everything right, but in being united with Christ.
This is the great message of the Gospel. Whoever has entrusted their life to Jesus is no longer under the sentence of sin. Christ bore the punishment we would have deserved. Therefore, the believer may face the judgment with hope.
This does not mean that sin has become meaningless. Rather, it means that Christ is stronger than our guilt. His grace is greater than our failure, and His sacrifice is sufficient to save every person who trusts in Him.
β¨ Our Security Is in Christ
When we look at ourselves, we find many reasons for discouragement. No one can claim to be perfect. But God does not ask us to look at ourselves.
He invites us to look to Christ.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βThe more we look at ourselves, the less peace we will have. The more we look to Christ, the greater our hope will become.β
(Steps to Christ, p. 71)
The judgment does not become an investigation of our merits, but a revelation of what Christ has done for us.
πΏ Freed from the Burden of Fear
Many people carry a heavy burden of guilt and self-reproach. They hope that someday they will be good enough.
But the Gospel says something different: salvation does not begin with our performance, but with Godβs grace.
Ellen G. White wrote:
βChrist takes away the guilt of the repentant sinner and gives him peace with God.β
(The Desire of Ages, p. 300)
Whoever understands this truth can be freed from the constant fear of rejection.
ποΈ Living with Confidence
The assurance of salvation should not make us careless, but grateful. Whoever knows that they are accepted through Christ will desire to follow Him faithfully.
Life in the light of the judgment is therefore not marked by fear, but by trust.
π Prayer
Dear Father in heaven,
thank You for the wonderful promise that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.
Keep me from placing my hope in myself.
Help me to look to Jesus and to trust in His grace.
When doubts or fears come, remind me that my security is in Him.
Fill my heart with peace and gratitude.
Amen.
π Thought for the Day
Whoever is in Christ does not need to fear the judgment, because Christ has already interceded for them.
π‘ Personal Application

πΊ Closing Verse
βWhoever believes in the Son has eternal life.β
β John 3:36
