⚔️ 4.1 The Most Powerful Weapon
God’s Word gives strength
The Bible is our most powerful spiritual weapon because it connects us with God and gives us strength. That is why Satan tries to distract us and make us tired in order to keep us from reading the Bible. Without God’s Word, we become weaker inside and lose direction. It influences not only our faith but also our relationships in everyday life. God remains faithful, even when we often are not. Therefore, it is essential to consciously spend time with His Word.
👑 4.2 Scripture, the Authority
God’s Word stands above us
The Bible is not meant to serve our opinions, but to show us God’s truth and His will. People often try to read only the pleasant parts or adapt the Bible to their own ideas. But true Bible study means accepting God’s Word as a whole—even the challenging parts. God wants us to use our minds, but also to submit them to His wisdom. If we rely only on our own perspective, we risk placing ourselves above God’s Word. Therefore, it is essential to read the Bible with humility and to recognize its authority in our lives.

Truth has a firm foundation
The world often questions truth and claims that there is no longer a fixed standard. But the Bible clearly shows that truth is not relative, but anchored in God Himself. Jesus says, “I am the truth,” and His Word confirms this unchanging foundation. While our understanding may grow, God’s truth remains constant and reliable. Therefore, the Bible is the standard by which everything must be tested—even our own thoughts. The claim that there is no truth contradicts itself, because it also makes a truth claim.

God’s Word works in the heart
The Bible claims to be more than just a book—it is alive and works directly in our lives. When we take its words seriously, they can fundamentally transform our decisions, relationships, and daily life. Psalm 119:11 shows that we should store God’s Word in our hearts so that it shapes our thinking and actions. The Bible is like spiritual nourishment that strengthens and fills our soul. At the same time, it challenges us not only to hear, but also to act. True change happens when we not only read God’s Word, but give it space in our lives.

Openness determines understanding
Our ability to understand God’s Word depends greatly on the condition of our heart. The Bible shows that a closed heart cannot grasp spiritual truth, while an open heart gains understanding. When we read the Bible in faith, God’s Word works in us and transforms us step by step. What matters is our attitude: do we come with humility or with preconceived opinions? Without a willingness to change, reading remains ineffective. But if we are open, God’s Word draws us closer to Him and helps our faith grow.
